South Australia Audit Office

2022

The South Australia Audit Office data analytics team engaged with Aginic to assist them in improving their efficiency, innovation and collaboration skills. We embarked on an inspiring journey of capability uplift for all levels of the organisation, with the data analytics team being in the centre. We delivered highly practical and tailored training that aimed at focusing on current real life challenges, and embedding learnings within their everyday work life.

I worked with an Agile expert and a data analytics specialist to create an engaging and highly practical learning framework tailored specifically for teams starting their journey into Design Thinking and Agile methodologies. We developed a bespoke program for the data analytics team and helped them prioritise the key stakeholders they want to bring along on the journey. We worked closely with the data analytics team focusing on addressing the real challenges they were facing, and crafted activities and learning material to suit their needs.

The training program for the Audit Office of South Australia was structured into tailored step-by-step modules, ensuring it is accessible and immediately useful for professionals new to Design Thinking. Our approach was grounded in the team’s current obstacles, making every session relevant and directly applicable.

The training engaged participants at different tiers: Executive level (beginner), Auditor managers (beginner in Agile, Design Thinking, and data literacy), and analysts (beginner to intermediate/advanced in Design Thinking and Agile). This approach ensured that each group received tailored content relevant to their roles, promoting effective learning and skill application.

The customised training not only developed critical skills but also strengthened team collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement. Furthermore, the training empowered the analyst team to confidently engage in workshops with auditors and managers across the organisation, enabling them to lead productive discussions and contribute meaningful insights. The result was an uplifted, agile team better equipped to think creatively, collaborate effectively, and solve complex problems with confidence.

Since the initial project with the Audit Office of South Australia in 2022, I have worked with the analyst team in coaching and advisory roles, and our latest collaboration was in June 2024.
